"no bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key" HELP!?
I bought a toshiba satellite laptop 3 days ago from best buy and now it's showing this message. I don't know what a boot disk is. The message also mentions ethernet controller and says to check the cable nouns. I connect to wifi, so I don't really know what I'm in for. Anything to help? Thanks

if you bought it 3 days ago clutch it back no need to business with a lemon. hope you still have the receiving. Source(s): me :)
you might want to go into the BIOS and check the boot order. Your laptop might be trying to boot from the gridiron card or something instead of the hard drive. To access the BIOS, you usually press Esc or F1 for Toshiba laptops when its starting.
When you are in the BIOS (usually blue)
-Use your arrow push button to get to the Boot tab
-Use the instructions on the right to set hard drive as first boot device
