Mobile Edge Mess1-14 Slipsut (14.1-Inch) Reviews
above average quality March 16, 2009I have a thinkpad T400. this sleeve needs quite some stretch to be fully zipped. however, this is due to the unique design of thinkpad's square instead of rounded corner. I only use it occassionally so it's okay. if i were to use it on a daily stub, this sleeve would have been stretched too much to a tearing point in about a month.
merchandise fine, description inadequate February 15, 2007It didn't fit. Otherwise, it is about as expected.
I wanted a snug fit, but the information was not complete plenty to get what I wanted. My laptop measured 14 1/16 X 10 1/4 X 1 3/8 exactly. This was close, but couldn't zip up. I bought a larger Case Logic that was cheaper but isn't as nice.
Great buy! January 9, 2007I purchased the Mobile Edge 14.1" Neoprene Sleeve Black from Amazon.com and was very pleased.
The delivery was in a hurry, and more importantly, the sleeve is a great buy! It's easy to carry around, looks nice, protects my computer and has a front pocket in which I can place my computer wires and other such things!
Good for what it is May 19, 2007I was looking for a compact case for my laptop which I would then carry inside a roll-on suitcase. I wanted some nouns that would help cushion the laptop while it was being wheeled about inside the suitcase, bumped over curbs, popped into overhead racks, and the like. This fit the bill exactly. I wouldn't walk through an airport carrying it by the strap, though I sometimes do that around the house.
The pocket in front is somewhat useful. It is fine for carrying a few discs, or, as surrounded by my case, an ethernet cable. I went to Fry's and bought a 14-foot flat patch cord which can be coiled and thus fits neatly in the pocket.
My IBM (Lenovo)Thinkpad Z61t with the 7-cell battery fits just right. The laptop's footprint is 13-1/8 inches by 10-1/8 inches, and the thickness is about 1-1/4 inch. The 7-cell battery-operated protrudes from the back of the laptop by about 1-1/4 inch, and the laptop would have a looser fit if it didn't have the protrusion. As it is, the fit couldn't be better unless there were a custom design that matched the battery protrusion exactly.
I was misled a bit by the illustration. I thought that it had straps similar to the handles on a briefcase; it doesn't. It has a strap on the end. It's OK that way, but it would be more convenient if it had briefcase-style handles.
By the way, there at least four colors. Search Amazon and you should be capable of find the other colors.

By the way, there at least four colors. You're not stuck with black. I purchased the navy blue version. Search Amazon and you should be able to find the other colors if you want something save for black.

Great Dell Laptop sleeve February 11, 2007I have a Dell Inspiron 630m and this sleeve fits it perfectly. It is really well made and provides the ideal extra cushion for bringing my laptop with me to and from work and while travelling.
love it! January 31, 2008I love this so much, it fits my laptop perfectly. I wanted a cover to prevent my laptop from getting scratched and bumped when i take it to school, while still being thin enough for me to fit it in my pouch along with other things. It also provides protection at home since my laptop is my cats new favorite thing to sit on.
just right February 23, 2007I have a HP DV2220us and this fits just right. Has about 1/2 inch to spare on the width and is snug on the length. Thickness is just for a while loose.
size advertised is not accurate March 11, 2008This product is not advertised properly. My 14" laptop does not even come close to fitting inside. The interior dimensions are much smaller than advertised, so I had to return this purchase. Very inconventient.
