Microsoft 17" Neoprene Laptop Sleeve Reviews
fits right into stock Dell 17" notebook case July 12, 2007the dell case that shipped with my XPS M1710 17" notebook does not have excessive cushioning for the notebook in the main compartment. the microsoft 17" sleeve hugs the Dell XPS M1710 snagly and fit into the dell case. i had no problems throwing the Dell case into any airplane overhead bin over my second 3 trips.
Works well for Dell 1720 Notebook December 21, 2007We bought this for an Inspiron 1720 with an upgraded battery and the dimensions said they'd fit, so we ordered it based on the measured laptop.
The laptop fits very snugly in the case from bottom to top - side to side's fine - and it's well constructed with solid zippers. The one article I would suggest is to confirm the laptop dimensions INCLUDING the battery extending out the back before purchasing (for any case on the market).
Other than that, remember it's a sleeve, not a bag with any extra pockets (there aren't any on this bag) so if say, we were to disconnect the battery to formulate it fit in the sleeve, the battery would have to be packed along with the computer and not in a different pocket.
There's plenty of cushion to protect the computer and the handles are well built. It's a great bag for the price and it be just what we were looking for, but if I was to recommend anything, it would be to make the dimension a little taller.
Perfect! April 24, 2008I had a tough time finding a laptop case that fit my HP 17.5". This one is a perfect fit - just resembling a glove. I also am able to add minor items such as paper or even the power charger. I wish the orange color wasn't so bright, but that's irrelevant. It does exactly what I bought it for - in my book that's perfect.
Fits 17" Hp Computer! November 18, 2008The interior provides just the right amount of protection!
The handles variety transporting the laptop a breeze! and the bag is not bulky at all! A+++
I feared it wouldn't fit my HP 17" Pavilion Dv9925nr laptop, but it did!
Fits like a Glove is correct!
My Laptop Dimensions are about 16"length, 11"Height, 17"screen, 1"thick.
Microsoft 17" Laptop Sleeve October 30, 2009This laptop sleeve has just the right fit for my new 17" MacBook Pro with rather room to spare at the top. It is well padded all around. The zipper opens widely so that it is easy to slip the laptop in and out. The handles make it easy to pass alone and pull out of another carry-on bag quickly and easily. It went through airport screening without a problem while my laptop remained safely inside. There are no extra pockets for cables, etc, but please not that if you want any laptop sleeve to go through airport indemnity unopened you cannot put anything else in the sleeve with it.
Perfect fit for my 17" laptop September 2, 2008I was searching for a cheap and durable laptop sleeve for my 17" HP laptop and this is the best match I found. Its a perfect fit and easily slides in my backpack while traveling.
Too small November 6, 2007My laptop is an HP 17". There was no passageway I could get my laptop into this case. Fits like a glove? What a joke. I needed the case for this weekend, and I don't have time to shop at a store for it. Better remeasure the case.
Nice look and confortable to use December 27, 2007Really i was surprise for the look and my Sony 17" inches fixed 100% with no problem.
deliver on time.
Handy March 28, 2009Nice bag. A 17" laptop fits easily, even with the foam insert that came with it. I left the insert in for extra protection.
I like the handle, and the size of the opening.
If I were to do it again though, I would buy a bag that had at least one pocket, and a shoulder strap. I know, I bought a 'sleeve', but I really think an actual carry bag would be more convenient and useful. Just ask yourself if you want to solely be able to carry your laptop with the handles on this sleeve, or would like a shoulder strap?
Fail On Dell Vostro 1700 September 3, 2009Dimensions specified are incorrect: the bag I received (and returned) is 17" x 12", not 18" x 13" as listed. The 17" Dell Vostro will not fit, unless you like the idea of forcing the zippers closed around the corners of the laptop: that ability there's zero cushioning at the corners, NOT why you (or I, at least) want a cushioned laptop sleeve. And that's with nothing "extra" poking out of the laptop shadow, no additional battery space, no dongle, nothing but the laptop itself, not a fit. Dimensions are NOT as advertised.
Looks like it would be a good choice for a 16" laptop, though.
[Update: there's a marker attached to the Microsoft bag that describes the internal fit of the sleeve: I didn't make a note of the dimensions, but they were considerably smaller than the dimensions Amazon quotes. Other sites, such as Wal-Mart, list conflicting and inaccurate dimensions, too.]
