McKleinUSA Deerfield 94780 W Series Italian Leather Ladies Briefcase (Orange) Reviews
loved it but... February 27, 2010this laptop tote was exactly what i was looking for - leather, black, looks stylish, great price. only problem was that my laptop 17.3 screen was too big. it fit very snug in the tote, but there be no room for anything else. if they would make one just like this that would fit my laptop i will defintely buy it - i still have not found a laptop tote bag to fit my laptop.
Chic, stylish and functional May 27, 2010I searched for years to find a laptop bag big enough for my 17" MacBook Pro that was also gorgeous. Unfortunately when you hold a computer that big most of what's out there is completely hideous, dowdy or masculine, yet costs a fortune. Ugh. That being said, I LOVE THIS BAG. I was looking for something stylish yet functional and as thin/small as possible. Since I don't tote my computer every day, I like to keep my computer separate from my other purse things (wallet, toiletries, key, etc.) to avoid constantly switching bags. In this bag I keep my laptop, power adapter, extension cord, pens, legal pads, thumb drives, dvds and cleaners. The magnetic clasp is a nice touch and works great as long as you don't overstuff since this is a structured bag, which is another reason why I imagine it's so beautiful. The straps are adjustable and fit perfectly on me (I'm 5'2") and already have that broken-in feel, even though they are obviously brand new. The leather is very high quality and the philosophical red color is even more gorgeous in person. There are 3 compartments--1 has slots to hold things like pens, power adapters, etc.; the middle compartment is padded and zippered and could hold your laptop if it's a bit smaller than a 17" Mac, but then you'd probably scratch it when constantly moving it past the zipper; the third stern compartment is where I keep the laptop. All of the edges are sealed with a shiny black resin so there is no danger of any fraying which you find in a cheaper bag, and the black edging adds a smart touch. There are also little metal feet to help it stand up and help keep the bottom leather from getting scuffed. Spending one-twenty to one-fifty on a computer bag may seem like a lot, but it's really not that much for a big quality, stylish yet classic bag that will last for years to come and keep your fancy laptop in great shape.
Very Nice Pink Leather Laptop Briefcase October 29, 2010I looked for a Pink Leather laptop carrier for at least 2 years and finally decided on this McKlein USA Deerfield Pink Leather defence.
It is good quality Pink Italian leather, with shoulder length straps, and fits my 10 1/2" X 14" laptop. This was difficult to find, because most of the carriers I considered were made for a smaller laptop. This one has two separate compartments, which also allows room to carry the adapter cord and mouse, if you use one. It also has room for a few meagre files, pens/pencils, and a phone.
I would like it better if the handles were a rolled leather style, and it had a removable leather laptop sleeve. That's why I gave it only 4 stars. Otherwise, it is a beautiful pink leather carrier and I feel well-mannered carrying it.
Extremely elegant yet a workhorse May 16, 2010I love red so this is somewhat biased but the deep chinese red is lovely and the leather is excellent quality. My laptop fits well in the compartment and is sheltered from bumps and bangs yet there is room for my work and other things contained by this bag. I have used many industrial looking computer bags and this beats them out for quality, looks and durability. Highly recommend.
So Fabulous but too small UGH! February 12, 2009I own a fab red leather franklin covey bag that i love and need a comparable replacement for my new 16" widescreen HP. This pouch is SO sleek, SO fab, SO everything I'd hoped for. But it only holds my laptop and accessories, no way it can double as a purse too. UGH! I almost want to weep. If you're looking for a laptop only bag this is your bag. It's well made and comes in a million colors...but if you also want to be capable of use it as a purse, this bag is too tight on the inside and won't close. *sigh*
p.s. I'm 6'1" and the straps are perfect on me :)
