I gave it 3 stars due to fact that it runs quite hot and the batter life just isn't the same as the original. But for the price, I am not really compalining. Just going to live beside it for now until I buy my new Mac Laptop.

Works great in my 12" iBook. It is slightly more gray in color than is the Mac, and actually has a bit less capacity than the stock battery-operated (95% of OE, according to my Dashboard widget), but for the price I'm happy.

Apple's price tag for a new battery has a huge cringe factor, so I ignored my skepticism of aftermarket batteries and got this one. Very satisfied with it. It fits my iBook G4 perfectly, even if its new whiteness contrasts with the well-worn case of my computer. It arrived almost fully charged, holds just as much charge as the OEM battery, and a charge drains as slowly as the OEM battery. The charging indicator doesn't seem to work on mine. Not worth sending final for such a minor detail, so I just rely on the green light on the power cord or the battery indicator in the status bar to let me know it's fully charged. Haven't had it very long, so can't comment yet on its dramatization over time.

Don't buy this item. Although it's a 1-yr guarantee they won't replace it after 3 months, READ THE FINE PRINT. The battery won't last 6 months. Mine started to lose the ability to reach a full charge about 4 months after I purchased it. It went from 100% charge to 71%, to 69% to 50% and now is at 22%. Even if I leave it plugged in for 24hrs. I tried another charger, resetting the PMU, PRAM, running it down to 0% several times but zilch worked. These batteries are not genuine Apple batteries and are very poor quality.

Don't waste your money, buy a genuine Apple battery from their online store. It will cost more but you get a freestyle that won't flake after a few months.

it works just fine the colors off though idk but the battery gauges are off but it functions like a batty should so it good for what you pay for

I bought this mobile for my iBook G4. It fits and works perfectly.
Just like Apple's battery, it has a charge indicator. Not sure how accurate it is, though, because when I push the button it lit 3 out of 4 lights but OSX said it was at 45% charge.
We'll see how long it lasts, but since it is less than half the price Apple wants for their mobile, I'm sure its worth it.

Worked fine for a month then after that stopped working like the last one i had, only that one took 4 years to stop charging.

The battery works resourcefully and has a good battery life. The only draw back is that there is no warning when the computer is getting ready to shut down.

This freestyle holds a charge for maybe an hour longer than the other replacement iBook battery I bought. I've only had it for a few weeks so the longevity is still in question. So far so good. Quality seems good and fits my iBook's mobile compartment well. It's flush with the surface when installed. If I could pick anything that wasn't quite right, it is that the little rubber foot is just a tad shorter than the other three on my iBook. It could be just a computer model difference.
