I bought this battery about a month ago to replace my original battery which wouldn't last more than an hour while I was working on music production. First off, this came nearer than I expected it to be here. The condition of the box seemed like it was reused, but the battery looked brand new. It fits right into my laptop without any effort. It's a very noticable difference in size from what I be accustom to. Lifts the back of my computer about an inch off the surface that it sits on. It does have two small rubber pads underneath so that the battery is not sitting directly on the surface.

I did not keep track of the first times that I've used the battery because those were individual to do a full drain and charge. When I actually did use it, the battery lasted for 4 hours while I was working on my music, and 8 hours watched movies, browsed the web, and watched videos on youtube. This was a through improvement from my last battery. Use it at home, and take it with me every day, and the battery has not once loosened or turned off my computer. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a current battery that last long

It replaces my regular original HP battery. This extended battery lasts at least twice longer than my original one even with video and clear concentrated applications. Another good thing is the battery stickout from bottom elevate the laptop and let the air flow and cool the laptop. It's very good deal with the cooling design and long ultimate power. LOVE IT

The battery was good while it lasted. Up to 5 hours of backup for the first couple of months and then slowly degraded. Died right after the warranty period, 12 months. Smart.

I bought this battery recently, and had problems of freestyle getting recognized by the HP Battery test on Windows 7. Initially, there was a panic as I paid this online and battery not being recognized - requested a discount. After few days of experience with the battery - its still not recognized by the HP battery Test utility and battery is charged and discharged very good.

The battery lasts nearly 6hrs watching movie and working next to email, browsing. Good for me for the cost, HP original batteries cost more.

I am keeping the battery for my laptop G60-243CL.

After receiving my first battery, I put it through the charge-dischage-charge cycles recommended by the supplier. Following that I ran HP's Battery Test Utility. It reported that the battery had a bad cell. A discharge cycle for the battery-operated was about 4 hours, less than I was expecting from other reports. I contacted the supplier about the problem and they immediately responded by sending out a replacement battery and the means to return the bad component.

Upon receiving the second battery, I put it through the same routine as the first one that I received. I am sorry to report, the results were exactly the same. HP's Battery Test Utility reported that this battery also has a bad cell. At this point, I am waiting to hear from the supplier. I intent to return the second cell for a refund underneath their return policy.

While I am not certain that HP's utility is providing a true picture of the battery condition, I also have no information that dispites the accuracy of that software. In this case, I will spend the extra funds and get the 12 cell HP replacement battery. I don't want to spend almost a $100 for a battery that is possibly defective.

the battery-operated arrived couple of days after the said date but arrived in good condition. the battery works perfectly, the HP battery check gives it the GOOD status. but the only bad thing just about this battery is that it only lasts for about 3 hours in my HP dv5 laptop. i expected it to last more because its a 12 cell battery. but it still lasts longer than my previous 6 cell battery but not long adequate. a bit dissatisfied.

I replaced my original laptop battery with this because it only lasted about 10 min off AC power. This battery-operated lasts much longer, up to an hour and a half however I think it should last even longer. As soon as I put in the new battery it informed me that one of the cells was desperate. Also after using the battery now for a couple weeks I've noticed that it will randomly fall out. I take the computer out of my bag and the movement and shaking must loosen it so the battery falls out and you lose anything that was stretch out on the computer. It is still a huge improvement in battery time so for $60 it isn't a bad deal.

The company sent the battery to us in a timely manner and it be recieved in working order. The only thing I wish is that I had shipped it to recieve it faster, but that was my choice. There was one thing significant: when you pick up the laptop to move it, if the battery moves (not plugged in and charging) the machine shuts down. But overall I'm happy!
